The Hewlett Packard HP 6890 gas-chromatograph equipped by FID detector, split/splitless inlet, automatic injector and oven cryocooling (liquid carbon dioxide) is used for precise measuring of retention parameters of volatile compounds for subsequent estimation of their physical properties (vapor pressures, heat of vaporization et cetera).
