Researchers' Night at IOCB 2024

We invite you to this year's Researchers' Night, during which we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of chemical transformations and biological metamorphoses. Get ready for an evening of surprises, discoveries, and interactive experiences that will transport you into a world of science where everything is constantly changing and evolving.

Together, we will explore the chemical reactions that transform simple molecules into complex structures, and the biochemical processes that enable the life cycles of organisms and their constant adaptation to their environment. Laboratory workshops, engaging lectures, and demonstrations await you as well.

Come and get carried away by science that changes our understanding of life and the world around us. Scientists are constantly opening up new possibilities and changing the boundaries of our knowledge through their research. During the Researchers' Night, you can be part of it too. We look forward to seeing you at IOCB!

(We are still fine-tuning and gradually adding to the program. You can also check out the Czech version of the page, which contains the program conducted in Czech.)

⚗️ Fun experiments for children from the age of 8

Workshops begin at 6:15 PM and 7:30 PM

Laboratory coats, goggles, gloves, and especially some simple but interesting experiments are ready for curious children and their loved ones who want to try working in a real laboratory.

The program is designed for children aged 8 and up with an accompanying adult. Reservations are made for the child only, and we automatically include one extra adult. Children can only perform the experiments in pairs with their company.

Please respect the age limit - unfortunately, younger children cannot be admitted to the laboratory for practical and safety reasons.
