Open House Day (Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences)
As part of the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences at IOCB, we organize Open House Day with dozens of excursions, lectures, and presentations of our research.
Most of the program is primarily in Czech (see the full information in the Czech version of this page), however, some of the presentations may be conducted in English if there is enough interest.
We will also have a special chemistry workshop for English-speaking children from 9 years of age.

Anti-epidemic measures
When visiting the institute, it is necessary to comply with the current anti-epidemic measures and wear a respirator. Visitors from 12 years of age will be required to provide proof of infection-free status (proof of completed vaccination, proof of recovery from Covid-19 within the last 180 days, or a valid negative test) – without this, they will not be admitted. Visitors younger than 12 years do not need to provide proof of infection-free status.
Chemical experiments for English-speaking children from 9 years of age
A lab coat, safety goggles, gloves, and above all, a few simple but fun experiments – that awaits up-and-coming little chemists who want to experience working in a real lab.
